03 - In large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
04 - Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract until just combined.
05 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
06 - Gently fold in any optional add-ins like nuts or chocolate chips.
07 - Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-65 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
08 - Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
